The handles on this knife are custom crafted for fossilized Mammoth Ivory found in the Perma-Frost of Siberia. The Mammoth became extinct over 10,000 years ago. Be aware that this handle material has been buried undergroud for thousands of years and considerable variation will be seen from knife to knife.
Fossilized Mammoth Ivory will have lines, cracks and fissures that are inherent in this handle material and should NOT be considered imperfections, but rather show your knife as a unique one-of-a-kind keepsake.
