This Hole in One with Drilled Blade features a perimeter frame of 420J2 Stainless steel formed to fit the hand. The unique blade shape was designed to fit the handle. The blade on this model is NOT drilled (see CRKT5150 for drilled version). Lock mechanism locks in both open and closed position and is actually strengthen when the knife is gripped in the hand. To open the Hole In One blade, simply press down on the lock release lever, and rotate it to either side. Continue rotating until the lock snaps firmly into place in the open position. This is a fast one-hand operation. Because there is no conventional clip, it is a completely ambidextrous knife.
The design of the knife gives many grip options. The index finger can go through the blade hole, or grasp either the frame finger choil, or even the blade finger choil if greater control is necessary.
A spring loaded carabiner feature (non-weight bearing) is designed into the knife as is the ability to use the knife as a bottle or jar opener.
Both blade and frame have a durable non-reflective bead-blast finish.
Blade length is 2 1/4" to 3 5/16", depending on how you measure. The latter is likely the most commonly used.
Open length is about 8" and closed length is 5 1/4". An interesting, functional design that will draw some attention I am sure.
