The handles, side plates and blade of this beautiful Paul® Defender were enhanced by Michael Prater, noted custom knife maker/artist. Michael has been building custom knives since 1981 and began applying his unique artistic abilities to factory knives since 1999. Michael says his Native American Cherokee heritage guides his design creativity with themes that blend with the function of knives and their place in the history of his people. In 2003 he trademarked the Painted Pony® brand that represents his custom artistry today. Our Defender features his custom file-work on the back of the blade, the Painted Pony logo laser engraved onto the blade, custom sculptured side plates and handles. The handle is also inlaid with White/Gold stone matrix material that is highly polished to a beautiful luster that compliments the custom sculpture work. The overall look of these artistic elements is quite striking and complementary to each other for a bold and exotic appearance. The knife is displayed in a walnut box with glass viewing lid to protect and display the knife proudly. The glass is etched with Lone Wolf Knives, Michael’s name and logo designating him as the artist. This Limited Edition project is limited to 50 pieces, sequentially marked 1 of 50 through 50 of 50. Each knife comes with a certificate of authenticity designating the artist, the number of your individual knife and the total quantity of knives built. Orders are taken on a first come basis so order your knife today. You will be proud to own and display this unique and attractive knife.
