Behind the somewhat complicated and official German designation lies a simple, yet ingenious grinding device that offers exactly what its name suggests. In the usual angle-guided pull-through devices, there is a carbide V that pulls small chips out of the cutting edge in a longitudinal direction. In the suction cup roller grinder, on the other hand, two diabolos made of mechanical ceramic with an acute angle in two different grit sizes are hidden. By pulling the blade through, these diabolos are set in rotation, thus sharpening the cutting edge in the true and professional sense. As a lightweight EDC knife, the Boker Plus Strike rounds out  Boker's range of tactical knives. The ergonomic handle is supported by steel liners that feature textured, lightweight milled aluminum scales. Deep jimping on the pronounced thumb groove facilitates a secure hand position. The Appalachian Axe Sheath is made of the best thick natural coloured cowhide and reliably protects the entire edge and its tips (toe and heel). The welting is provided with 6 strong disc-backed rivets. Two close-fitting press-studs hold the axe securely in position. The flap, also fastened with four strong disc-backed rivets, accommodates belts and straps up to 55 mm wide. Fits positions 1) Appalachian Axe Big and 2) Appalachian Axe Small.

The Boker Plus Appalachian Axe features a Rhenish-shaped axe head made of 1055 carbon steel. The universally designed blade thickness is equally suitable for felling and splitting. The lower tip (heel) of the 10.7 cm long cutting edge can be used as a turning nose for pieces of wood. The material is protected against rust by a protective lacquer. A versatile weight of 600g was chosen for the head of the axe. For the handles, the best long-fiber breaking American hickory is used, which is far superior to European ash in breaking elasticity and shock load resistance. The handles is double-wedged with a wooden wedge and a steel sleeve. 

With a handle length of a little over 14", this axe is better suited for carrying in or attaching to a rucksack due to its manageable size. The shorter handle is particularly suitable for longer fatigue-free work with one hand, as is the case when cutting (kindling) wood for cooking fires. The older term, kitchen axe, for axes of this class dates from the time when wood was still used to fire hearths in the home.

The ultra-compact Boker Plus Rescom is based on the popular Boker Plus Subcom by Chad Los Banos, but unlike the original model, it is supplied with a versatile multi-function blade. The unbroken popularity of this handy rescue tool among professional emergency services and first responders has now prompted us to reissue this useful classic from our range in a modernised version. The Boker Plus Rescom 2.0 is supplied with a black-coated D2 rescue blade that combines numerous practical functions and can save lives in an emergency. It is opened with the help of the thumb stud on both sides and securely locked in place by the two-millimetre thick steel plate of the framelock. A pronounced hand guard increases grip comfort and prevents slipping into the blade. The textured handle is made of black Zytel with three-dimensional milling and, thanks to this surface structure, the ergonomic design and jimpings in the area of the thumb rest, always lies securely in the hand, even when wet. With lanyard hole and convertible clip (tip-up/tip-down).
