This is a fine blade;a big knife in a little package. Not that many years ago, the AUS8 steel would have cost in the 80s or 90s. I don't even like car keys or change in my pocket but this thing is so flat and light and I can clip it high on the pocket and I don't even feel it, yet it comes out so quick and is so natural to open that when I pulled it out and flipped it a friend said "That's fast, but you've obviously been practicing." I hadn't, it had come out that quickly and easily since the 1st time or two I tried. BTW, this review is from me buying him one as a gift, he liked it so much. Moreover, God forbid, one should ever have to use it as defense, but it should improve your odds greatly. It is basically the best 1.88" of a Marine Ka-bar, except made out of the superior AUS8. And, best of all, it's so small and pristine and innocuous, plus it's a quality brand, that it's much less legal hassle than a "Seal Stealth" or "Commando" or whatever. This little knife fits under the legal auspices of a pen knife.
For over 1/2 century I've preferred Boker over all other pocket knives. Now they are doing some 440C stuff, which I wouldn't be interested in, but their quality knives are still great.
