The newest addition to Spyderco's unique Chaparral series of gentlemen's folding knives, the Chaparral Lightweight offers the same design theme and functionality as its brothers, but with a simple, reliable, and affordable injection molded handle. Itstough fiberglass-reinforced-nylon(FRN) construction minimizes weight and offers the high-traction advantages of our Bi-Directional Texturing pattern, while its nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners ensure excellent structural strength and precise alignment of all key components. Like the other versions of the Chaparral, its definin features include a full-flat-ground CTS XHP stainless steel blad, a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole for ambidextrous one-handed opening, a sturdy back lock mechanism, and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that supports discreet left or right-side tip-up carry.

The Military™ 2 is a follow-up to the renowned Military Model™, designed specifically to meet the needs of those in service. The second-generation design boasts various improvements that make it an ideal cutting tool for duty-bound applications. In this version, the blade is coated with a stealthy Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) finish, ensuring zero reflection in operational environments where light discipline is crucial. To complement the blade's DLC coating, the handle's stainless steel liners, pocket clip, and hardware are also treated with matching black coatings. Available in all three edge configurations, this all-black rendition of the Military 2 represents the perfect balance between low profile aesthetics and exceptional performance.

This limited-edition version of the Police 4 Lightweight features Carpenter Technologys Micro-Melt PD#1, an air-hardening, cold-work die steel designed for superior wear resistance and toughness. Its advanced alloy composition is further improved by the CarTech Micro-Melt powder metal process, ensuring an ultra-fine, homogeneous grain structure. Equivalent to CPM CRU-WEAR, this high-performance steel is the core of the knifes full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade. The blade is coated with a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating for added distinction, and the fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle is molded in a deep burgundy color. Matching the black-and-burgundy theme, the four-position pocket clip, lock bar, and handle hardware are also finished with durable black coatings.

Designed by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser as the perfect knife for forward-deployed military personnel, the original Military Model is one of the cutlery industry’s most iconic designs. More than 25 years after its original release, the eagerly anticipated Military 2 builds on that hard-earned reputation while incorporating several significant design improvements. Instead of a LinerLock, the Military 2’s full-flatground CPM® S30V® Combo edge blade is supported by Spyderco’s signature Compression Lock® mechanism, which offers greater strength and even safer one-handed operation. The stainless steel liners that form the foundation of the lock are larger, giving the knife increased structural strength and anchoring its four-position pocket clip, which is configurable for left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. The skeletonized liners are nested within peel-ply-textured G-10 scales to maintain a slim profile and complement its open-backed construction to reduce the knife’s overall weight. A proud successor to a legendary design, the Military 2 is ready to serve.

When Spyderco introduced the first Sprint Run™ Shaman® combining the traditional look of brown canvas Micarta scales and CPM CRU-WEAR blade steel, we were overwhelmed by the response. Later dubbed “CruCarta,” this distinctive pairing of old-school, high-performance materials became an instant classic. To ensure we could meet customer demand when we applied the “CruCarta” treatment to other models, we decided to make them full-line products, not limited editions. We began with the Para Military 2 and are now proud to add four more USA-made models to this elite family. All feature skeletonized full stainless steel liners, slim brown canvas Micarta scales, and CPM CRU-WEAR tool steel blades that offer an outstanding balance of edge retention and toughness. The scales of all these knives are sanded smooth but left unpolished, so they will naturally patina with age and handling to develop their own unique character.

The second-generation Military 2 enhances the venerable Military model with the addition of a high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism and the versatility of a four-position pocket clip. This expression of it raises the bar even higher with a blade crafted from Spyderco’s proprietary CPM SPY27 steel.
