  • Old Hickory / Ontario Hunting

    $24.97
Old Hickory / Ontario Knife has finally made the most affordable and useable USA made fixed blade hunter I have ever seen. It features a 5 1/2" satin finished high carbon steel blade. Brown wood handles with double brass rivets. Full tang construction. Brown Leather Belt Sheath. 10 1/4" overall length. Folks, this is a lot of field knife for a little money ... and USA made! NOTE: Be advised the blade steel used in this hunter is true high carbon steel. While considered by many as a superior steel for a hunting or field knife, high carbon steel will rust. Keeping the blade clean, dry and lightly oiled will help preserve the finish. Any staining, rusting or discoloration is to be expected.

  • Native 5 Black SE

    $142.80
The Native 5 Lightweight is the same knife as the original Native 5, but with FRN handles. The blade is serrated and flat ground with a weight reducing spine-swedge grind. CPM-S35VN is similarly structured to Crucibles CMP-S30V but with the addition of niobium (columbium) carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Niobium makes the steel tougher while enhancing resistance to wear and chipping and improves edge retention over basic smelted high-chromium steels. The Native 5s back-lock embodies the steps of evolution in traditional back-locks. Back-locks were first introduced to the knife industry decades ago, transforming into more sophisticated, safer locks through improved manufacturing techniques. Todays American made back-locks offer improved self-close, smooth action, solid lock-up and ease in push-release opening for a higher caliber of knife buyer in todays market. Implementation of a new Bushing Pivot System on the Native 5 generates fluid action and consistent manufacturing tolerances. A four-way transport-friendly hourglass pocket clip adjusts to carry tip-up/tip-down and left or right-handed with a lanyard hole incorporated through the center of the clip where it attaches to the handle. The folder is fabricated with screw-together construction using larger sized torq screws that are easier to adjust and tighten. The Native 5 represents the maturation of American knifemaking capabilities in making everything sharper, smoother and guaranteed to provide performance and overall user comfort. Blade length: 3" Closed length: 4" USA

  • Old Hickory 3 1/4" Paring

    $11.95

Old Hickory 3 1/4" Paring Knife

First introduced in 1924, the Old Hickory® knives are the most venerable product line still in active production. The Old Hickory® knives feature a hardwood handle secured with brass compression rivets to 1075 carbon steel blades that are both very sharp and capable of retaining an edge better than most stainless knives. Proudly manufactured with artisan processes for over 90 years, Old Hickory® has stood the test of time and is proven to be the best carbon steel kitchen cutlery sold today.

    USE & CARE

Please note that the Old Hickory knives are made with carbon steel.  We have been making Old Hickory since the early 1900's.  Carbon steel knives require extra care to prevent rusting and oxidation of the surface.  Old Hickory should not be placed in a dishwasher or allowed to soak in a sink.  We recommend cleaning the blade with a damp sponge or cloth and dry thoroughly.  Some people go a step further and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to the blades surface. If your blade shows signs of rust, use some steel wool to remove it and then apply some oil to the blade.   To keep the blade razor sharp, use a honing steel, sometimes referred to as sharpening steel, or sharpening stick. After years of use, the steel blade will develop a patina, a darkening which is desirable and an indication of its age.  Old Hickory knives are durable and affordable, but do require special care.
