The Boker Plus Urban Trapper Jigged Titanium comes with a surface-ground and ball-bearing VG-10 blade with a hairline finish, which opens with a flipper and is secured by a robust linerlock. A modern accent is set by the titanium handle, which pays homage to the countless classics with jigged-bone handle scales. This not only places the knife right up front visually, but also significantly enhances the feel of the pocket-knife. The stainless steel deep-carry clip allows for tip-up (r) carry and is finished with a stonewash finish.

Brad Zinker addresses the growing demand for a "heftier" version with the FR model. Based on the same design principles - e.g. as titanium frame lock with ball-bearing hinged blade - the Böker Plus FR features a slightly heavier and wider handle design, which together with the minimally increased blade thickness moves the overall impression significantly more in the direction of a utility knife, but without compromising its elegance. VG-10 is used as the blade steel here as well. The Boker Plus Appalachian Axe features a Rhenish-shaped axe head made of 1055 carbon steel. The universally designed blade thickness is equally suitable for felling and splitting. The lower tip (heel) of the 10.7 cm long cutting edge can be used as a turning nose for pieces of wood. The material is protected against rust by a protective lacquer. A versatile weight of 600g was chosen for the head of the axe. For the handles, the best long-fiber breaking American hickory is used, which is far superior to European ash in breaking elasticity and shock load resistance. The handles is double-wedged with a wooden wedge and a steel sleeve. 

With a handle length of roughly 19", this axe is better suited for in-camp chores and medium duty chopping.   Fits nicely between small kitchen axe and a full size forestry axe.
