BushCraft Knives

The US knifemaker, Dave Wenger can be forgiven for the miss-spelling of the German word "wichtig" if the result is such an impressive knife. Equipped with the genes of the Boker Plus Mini Tracker, the full tang Vigtig is a uncompromising backup knife for nature-loving bushcrafters. The blade made of 1095 carbon steel and Scandi grind is coated with an abrasion-resistant powder coating that offers excellent corrosion protection. The contoured micarta handle scales provide a firm grip in any situation and are fitted with three hollow brass studs, which can also be used as a lanyard hole. Supplied with a custom-fit Kydex sheath and belt adapter.

Originally designed from the Finnish sami knife, used by the Laplanders for all their hunting and bushcraft tasks. These knives have traditionally been flat ground, single or double sided, with a "zero-ground" edge ground to the edge.

It occurred to TOPS that a good idea is still a good idea in a smaller package. The Mini Scandi was a result of the very popular, original Brothers of Bushcraft (BROS-01) knife. It offers all the advantages of a modified Scandi grind in a neck knife, which makes it easily concealable. All of the cutting ability of a larger Scandi that can also fit in your pocket or pack.
