Brian Tighe and Glenn Klecker reinterpreted the Klecker NIRK folder with stainless steel being stamped and machined into a very dynamic, functional design. The steel frame is not only visually exciting, but offers a formidable cutting tool handle as well. Glenn's patent pending integral lockback mechanics are such that, the tighter you grip the handlethe stronger the blade lock-up. Brian's drop point blade design flows nicely from the handle shape, and its subtle recurve along the cutting edge is a nice touch as well. To keep the blade action smooth, a specially caged mini ball bearing system affords fast and smooth operation. A custom removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip is provided. The first knife ever to feature Kinematic technology, it stays neatly tucked away in transit and comes to life when theres trouble afoot. Modeled after a traditional karambit, the black oxide-finished hawkbill-style blade is forged of a premium D2 steel for high durability and excellent edge retention. The opening mechanism is pulling the folder into the future whether its ready or not. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar sets the chain reaction in motion, causing the blade to lunge to action while youve got a firm grasp on the handle. Its crafted of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum for supreme toughness. In true Joe fashion, the pocket clip is also a worlds first - sitting almost completely flush with the handle and likewise activated with light thumb pressure. The Provoke comes up strong when its called in for duty. How Kinematic Works: Nudge the upper crossbar with your thumbwhile the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle - and the blade lunges to life and locks into place. Shift the discrete lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position.
