While 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for, especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. ESEE Knives suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as Tuf-Glide or Tuf-Cloth.  In the 19th century, the Texas Tooth Pick knife was widespread, especially among farmers and daring soldiers of fortune. A further development of the Navaja knives brought by the Spanish settlers, the Texas version has a strikingly long blade and a generally slender design. These characteristics predestined the Texas Tooth Pick for a variety of tasks. From agricultural purposes such as taking samples to determine the quality of fruit and vegetables, to filleting fish, to the adrenaline-fuelled duels of daredevil duelists, the gentleman's knife covered a wide spectrum. Boker re-interprets the popular design and provides the Urban Texas Tooth Pick with the usual innovative performance. The flipper opens the ball-bearing VG-10 blade with hairline finish in a silky smooth manner and gives the daily cutting tasks a proper spur. In contrast to its historical predecessor, the gentleman's knife is reliably locked in place with a linerlock and thus significantly increases work safety. The up-and-coming German knife designer Simon Frömel is no stranger to Boker. He has already caused a sensation in the past with the Boker Plus Rescue Kiridashi. His next coup is certain: the Boker Plus Bad Moon is a fixed Karambit knife with a minimalist look and maximum functionality. The all-steel construction is equipped with a Hawkbill blade made of extreme edge retention D2, the lines of which continue in the curved handle and thus guarantee very efficient use. The entire knife is enhanced with a dark stonewash finish. Typical for this type of knife is the large ring at the end of the handle, which guarantees a secure hand position and can also be used as a lanyard hole. Supplied with a custom-made Kydex sheath and a ball chain for use as a neck knife.
