Those grooves improve the grip and the look of the knife, but cause hot spots like many other tread patterns. The purpose of the C.A.T.s was to provide a solid back-up blade that is easy to conceal and could save lives in the right scenario and with proper training. It is a small, strong, highly versatile knife that is easy to use and maintain. The design allows for good penetration and slashing cuts as well as a multitude of EDC uses. Jimping for thumb and index finger. Black Kydex sheath for belt or neck wear. 6 1/4" overall. Includes original box. May show handling and storage wear, but still presents well for its age. While this knife is Mint with no signs of carry and original factory edge, be advised we obtained it from a collection, so please consider it used.
