These designs by Jason Breeden, a West Virginia native who has spent his life in the hills and hollows, are mapped out by following the fundamental principles used by traditional woodsmen. TOPS is well-known for making hard-use tactical and survival knives. In recent years however, the lineup of models available through TOPS has opened to a very wide variety of cutlery. Hunting knives, EDC, and even kitchen cutlery. Now TOPS is ready to release their first filet knife.

Finding a middle ground between the flexibility of a filet knife and the rigidity of boning knife, the TOPS Filet is reminiscent of a Japanese gokujo(which means “all-in-one”). It is multipurpose in nature and can be used to bone or filet. The sweeping 154cm blade on the TOPS Filet will make short work of fileting fish and will leave very little waste cleanly trimming meat from bone with precision. The handle is a combination of rubber and G10 that provides a secure grip, which is important when dealing with slippery objects. The OD Green Kydex sheath with a Kydex belt loop will make the TOPS Filet feel equally at home in the field and the kitchen.

Designed by Jason Breeden, the Mountain Pass is an ideal fixed blade field knife that is large enough to do the job, but small enough to keep on your side. Condor Tool and Knife 120-4.12-4C Jason Breeden designed Mountaineer Trail Knife.
The Trail Knife may be a near perfect size fixed blade field knife. Not too small - not too large. The flat ground 440C blade is durable in the field and easy to maintain. The handle design of walnut over full tang features an inlayed area with a measure of paracord to both add purchase to the handle and cordage if ever needed in the field. Leather belt sheath with dangler makes this knife easy to carry in the field or ride with in/on your vehicle. Nice touch!
