$168.75The Boker Applegate-Fairban Combat Knife is the world's only production combat knife ever designed, based on actual military combat experience. The ergonomically shaped handle is injection molded from virtually indestructible nylon. The grooves running lenghtwise on the handle are of sufficient depth and width to enable an extremely secure grip. Per Col. Applegate's instructions, steel weights are positioned carefully inside the handle to provide proper feal and balance. The blade is crafted from premium 440-C stainless steel with a Rockwell rating of 58 HRC. Desert Tan handle. Each blackened cross guard is serial numbered. Stout's custom knives are some of the most sought after knives in the industry, and the Boker Leviathan offers a Stout design at a fraction of the price of one of his custom knives. The Leviathan's reverse Tanto blade is made from D2 tool steel, which offers good edge retention along with more toughness than most steels that are commonly seen in folding knives. Even though it is a high carbon tool steel, D2 has 10%-13% chromium which makes it a semi-stainless steel. The stonewashed stainless steel lock side scale is paired with a black G-10 show side scale on this model to save a bit of weight versus the standard all steel Leviathan.
