The Dog Tag Folder features a single-sided handle made from Carbon Fiber. The center of the handle scale is machined to create an integral spring bar that houses a steel ball bearing for the blade's detent mechansim. That starts with textured glass filled nylon scales and a dual stainless steel liner InterFrame. Assembled with glass filled nylon back spacers and Torx® fasteners, the result is amazingly rigid. Glass filled nylon offers excellent toughness and resistance to solvents. Lubrous washers at the blade pivot and an adjustable pivot screw allow for perfect blade action.  The blade is 8CR15MoV high-carbon stainless steel which gives an ideal combination of toughness and edge-holding ability in a work knife, and also allows easy field-sharpening. The M16®-01KZ uses our popular spear point slim profile blade with a Razor-Sharp edge. It is ideal for fine cutting and carving tasks. It has a black EDP blade, black frame and hardware.Of course, it features the Carson Flipper, which speeds opening of the blade and acts as a blade guard when the blade is open. This knife also features our automated liner safety innovation which automatically sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. Now this classic design is back as a limited-edition Sprint Run, showcasing a gray-colored fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle and a full-flat-ground PlainEdge™  blade crafted from CPM CRU-WEAR. Specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness, CRU-WEAR’s advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process to ensure an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure.
