 From the mind of Paul Alexander, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and lifelong knife enthusiast, the NAND is a unique new addition to Spyderco's SLIPIT™ family of non-locking folding knives. In the closed position, the “tail” of its full-flatground blade extends from the pivot-pin end of the handle, allowing the knife to be opened one handed like a classic straight razor. Once open, twin ball bearing detents within the handle’s frame index the sides of the blade to hold it in place. Together, this Ball Joint Non-Locking Mechanism, hand pressure on the blade’s tail, and generous finger choils provide an extremely safe and secure grip. 

  The NAND’s full-flat-ground blade is crafted from M398 stainless steel and also features a fully functional Trademark Round Hole™. Its handle scales are precision machined from solid titanium and are home to a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that completes the knife’s completely ambidextrous design by providing a choice of left or right-side, tip-up carry.

Spyderco C223PBN15V Para 3 Lightweight Sprint Run. The Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight is the latest evolution of the popular Para 3. The Para 3 Lightweight replaces the G10 scales normally found on the Para 3, with with Brown Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon (FRN) scales for a weight savings of nearly 30%. A streamlined version of Spyderco's patented compression lock is paired with a stainless steel lock bar insert that is inset into the handle to ensure a solid lock while keeping weight at a minimum. The knife features a full flat ground blade made from CPM-15V, a premium tool steel that offers good edge retention. CPM-15V is not a stainless steel, so special care is required to maintain the blades finish.. Introduced in 2010, the Paramilitary 2 has several changes over the classic version. The G-10 handle is narrowed at the end improving the ergonomics. The handle and blade have been profiled thinner, removing uncomfortable angles when in the closed position.
