This limited-edition Sprint Run™ expression of the Endela® Lightweight showcases Carpenter® Technology’s Micro-Melt PD#1, an air-hardening, cold-work die steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. Its advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the CarTech® Micro-Melt powder metal process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure. Functionally equivalent to CPM® CRU-WEAR®, this high-performance steel is the heart of this knife’s full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade. To make this elite Endela Lightweight even more distinctive, its blade is cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating and its fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle is injection molded in a deep burgundy color. Consistent with this stunning black-and-burgundy theme, its four-position pocket clip, lock bar, and handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.

  Designed by Israeli goldsmith and custom knifemaker Nati Amor, the Subvert faithfully translates his handcrafted “Sabotage” folder into a premium-quality production knife. This elite Sprint Run™ expression of it further elevates the design by rendering its dramatically styled, full-flat-ground blade in CPM 20CV. This highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel contains a high volume of vanadium carbides and the highest amount of chromium of any vanadium-rich stainless steel currently available, giving it a remarkable combination of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. Equally unique, the beautifully contoured scales of this knife are precision machined from solid carbon fiber. All other features are consistent with the standard version of the knife, including ball-bearing pivot washers, thick, skeletonized titanium liners, a stout LinerLock mechanism, and a custom pocket clip configured for right-side, tip-up carry.

The original Temperance fixed blade was both a utilitarian cutting tool and a proud member of Spyderco’s “Martial Blade Craft” (MBC) family of knives. To enable MBC practitioners to safely practice their skills with a partner, we also created a trainer version of the Temperance with a blunt edge and point. This limited-edition Sprint Run resurrects that concept with a blunted blade crafted from 420J2 stainless steel. The blade is flat ground and has a series of holes in it to closely replicate the weight of its live blade counterpart while providing a rounded point and edge safe for controlled contact with a partner. Its injection-molded FRN handle is bright red to clearly identify it as a training tool and it comes complete with a dedicated Boltaron sheath and G-Clip. For serious students of defensive knife tactics, it is the perfect complement to its live-blade brethren.
