  • Spartan George Raider Dagger

    $99.97

The Spartan-George Raider was designed by Les George, a prolific Knife Maker and former U.S. Marine as an homage to the Legendary United States Marine Corps Raider Stiletto of WW II.  This sleek and durable dagger while holding to the overall design of the original knife takes advantage of a full tang design, injection molded handles, modern SK5 steel. It is delivered with a knife specific injection molded sheath for a secure carry and protection. This is a dagger that any Marine or soldier would be proud to carry into a dangerous situation or raid. This dagger was designed hilt-heavy to lie in the hand to reduce the risk of dropping. It has double-edge blade with stiletto-sharp tip and diamond-shaped cross section, sharpened on both cutting edges all the way to its the oval cross guard. It has a slender symmetrical grip, with a middle convexity. The original stiletto hilts were die-cast using zinc aluminum alloy to create the handle but, over time it was discovered that the zinc ions in this alloy tended to leach out, leaving the casting extremely brittle. a result, more than half of the few Raider stilettos still in existence today have very fine hilt cracks or entire portions of the hilt missing, with pieces having simply flaked off; many more have replacement handles. Therefore, they chose a full tang design with durable injection molded handles.

  • Mini Scandi

    $94.50

Originally designed from the Finnish sami knife, used by the Laplanders for all their hunting and bushcraft tasks. These knives have traditionally been flat ground, single or double sided, with a "zero-ground" edge ground to the edge.

It occurred to TOPS that a good idea is still a good idea in a smaller package. The Mini Scandi was a result of the very popular, original Brothers of Bushcraft (BROS-01) knife. It offers all the advantages of a modified Scandi grind in a neck knife, which makes it easily concealable. All of the cutting ability of a larger Scandi that can also fit in your pocket or pack.

  • Bird and Trout Knife

    $119.97
TOPS BTK-02 Bird and Trout Knife. Well-known for his dynamic designs of the Fireman's Backup, the Fast Axes, and of course the multi-use Haket, Allen (the Axeman) Jensen has taken his wealth of knowledge learned as an avid outdoorsman, scout leader, survival enthusiast, and all-around "McGyver" to design a great Bird and Trout knife. It also serves as a great skinner. The handle design allows for multiple grip options for various uses. With the knife upside down and the thumb in the choil, it cleans fish without cutting the entrails. Thanks to the "Nesmuk Hump," with the index finger behind the blade and the thumb resting on the handle notch, it makes a great skinning tool for tough hides like bear and beaver. With the conventional grip, its small profile is perfect for camp and kitchen chores and many other uses. The stainless steel blade means years of worry free service in wet environments. • Old Hickory 7"" Butcher Knife

    $15.97

Old Hickory 7" Kitchen Butcher Knife.

First introduced in 1924, the Old Hickory® knives are the most venerable product line still in active production. The Old Hickory® knives feature a hardwood handle secured with brass compression rivets to 1075 carbon steel blades that are both very sharp and capable of retaining an edge better than most stainless knives. Proudly manufactured with artisan processes for over 90 years, Old Hickory® has stood the test of time and is proven to be the best carbon steel kitchen cutlery sold today.

    USE & CARE

Please note that the Old Hickory knives are made with carbon steel.  We have been making Old Hickory since the early 1900's.  Carbon steel knives require extra care to prevent rusting and oxidation of the surface.  Old Hickory should not be placed in a dishwasher or allowed to soak in a sink.  We recommend cleaning the blade with a damp sponge or cloth and dry thoroughly.  Some people go a step further and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to the blades surface. If your blade shows signs of rust, use some steel wool to remove it and then apply some oil to the blade.   To keep the blade razor sharp, use a honing steel, sometimes referred to as sharpening steel, or sharpening stick. After years of use, the steel blade will develop a patina, a darkening which is desirable and an indication of its age.  Old Hickory knives are durable and affordable, but do require special care.
