Ti-Lite tactical folders evoke the sleek speed and rebellious lines of the classic 1950's-styled switchblade. Unlike most switchblades however, they are legal to carry nearly everywhere. They feature American S35VN Alloy blades with DLC (Diamond Like Coating), razor sharp edges and sturdy, needle sharp points. The handles are made of high quality G-10. And for maximum strength and safety, Cold Steel has equipped the Ti-Lites with their patent pending, stainless steel leaf spring locks (proven, in their tests, to hold 130 lbs). For ease of carry, the Ti-Lites come equipped with a small, but unobtrusive steel pocket clip, and can be opened rapidly by using the thumb studs or by snagging a quillon on the edge of your pocket as you draw your knife out. In 1943, a battle was fought between the U.S. / Canadian First Special Service Force and German troops in Italy. Known as the Battle for Monte la Difensa, the courageous performance of U.S. and Canadian forces here was essential to the eventual Allied victory in Italy.

  When the Canadian special forces commissioned Spartan Blades and master knifemaker William Harsey to produce a blade for them, we knew we wanted to create something special. Our goal was to craft a knife that would serve their special forces well in the years to come -- both in the northern woods of their homeland and on worldwide deployments alike. The result was the Spartan Harsey Difensa, named after the infamous and hard-fought victory achieved by cooperation between Canadian and U.S. forces.

  The name speaks to this custom tactical knife’s excellent all-around field and battlefield use. The spear point profile of this handcrafted knife is flat ground, with a tapered top edge that makes for excellent tip strength, penetration balance, and sheer cutting ability.

  The full tang and handle of the Spartan Harsey Difensa allow for a neutral balance in the user’s hand. Combined with the textured, ergonomic canvas Micarta handle -- modified from our Model II with no rear jimping -- this custom combat knife offers the wielder a comfortable, confident grip whether wet or dry.

In Greek mythology, Horkos (or-kos) was the personification of the curse that would befall anyone who broke a sacred oath. The Greeks considered Horkos to be the demon-protector of honor, and honor was everything to the ancient Greeks.

  The Spartan Horkos custom combat knife was commissioned by the Combat Weapons Team of the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, with custom etching to honor their graduating class. As all graduates of West Point are defenders of our freedom and take a sacred oath to protect the U.S. Constitution, we chose Horkos as the name of this formidable combat knife.

The Spartan CQB tool is aptly named and specially designed for Close Quarters Battle. The CQB tool is a ring dagger with a kydex sheath. The sheath compliments the ring on the end the knife for quick removal. The sheath is designed to lash into MOLLE /PALS behind magazine or other front pouches on a vest or be carried on belt or inside the waist band. The design concept of the CQB tool originates with Greg Thompson, an instructor of close quarters fighting techniques (Hand To Hand) for the US Special Forces. Mr. Thompson is owner / founder of the H2H/Team ROC of the Fort Bragg based training group and developer of the Special Operations Combatives Program (SOCP). Mr. Thompson developed the new combatives program for US Army Special Operations Forces and this CQB tool is part of program gear. The CQB Tool or "transition tool" is used to compliment this program by providing a slim easily stowed knife with rapid acquisition for, "get the heck off me", grappling situations encountered in a CQB fight. The ring and slim profile design allows for the operator to quickly pull and utilize the dagger; breaking an attackers grasp and allowing the soldier to transition back to his primary weapon system without re-sheathing until safe to do so."
