$109.97The C.A.T. (Covert Anti-Terrorism) series includes some of the earliest models TOPS ever produced, and they have been in service ever since. They have been carried by military, law enforcement, hunters, campers, and bushcrafters. This new version includes Red and Black G10 handles with a tread we call Rocky Mountain Bulls-eye. Those grooves improve the grip and the look of the knife, but cause hot spots like many other tread patterns. The purpose of the C.A.T.s was to provide a solid back-up blade that is easy to conceal and could save lives in the right scenario and with proper training. It is a small, strong, highly versatile knife that is easy to use and maintain. The design allows for good penetration and slashing cuts as well as a multitude of EDC uses. The kydex sheath helps maintain a low profile and has a rotating clip so it can easily be worn in multiple carry positions. With the knife upside down and the thumb in the choil, it cleans fish without cutting the entrails. Thanks to the "Nesmuk Hump," with the index finger behind the blade and the thumb resting on the handle notch, it makes a great skinning tool for tough hides like bear and beaver. However, Newton Martin from Texas has developed a construction which is virtually indestructible, despite the screwed tang and handle. Extreme bending tests with this fixed blade have permanently deformed the blade before any kind of weak points were noticeable at the point of connection. International experts have been highly enthusiastic about the presentation of these custom knives, and now we are extremely proud to present this successful concept by Martin Knives as an exclusive Boker Plus product. The massive blade has a thickness of 6mm, and is made of high performance 440C stainless steel. The construction of the handle provides an entirely waterproof compartment inside the handle, for the safe storage of additional equipment (not included). The cord wrapping of the handle not only increases the grip but also provides several valuable meters of stable rope in case of an emergency. Due to the milled checkering, the handle also provides a safe amount of grip in various conditions without the wrapping. The prominent handguard enhances the secure handling of the knife.
