USE & CARE
Please note that the Old Hickory knives are made with carbon steel. We have been making Old Hickory since the early 1900's. Carbon steel knives require extra care to prevent rusting and oxidation of the surface. Old Hickory should not be placed in a dishwasher or allowed to soak in a sink. We recommend cleaning the blade with a damp sponge or cloth and dry thoroughly. Some people go a step further and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to the blades surface. If your blade shows signs of rust, use some steel wool to remove it and then apply some oil to the blade. To keep the blade razor sharp, use a honing steel, sometimes referred to as sharpening steel, or sharpening stick. After years of use, the steel blade will develop a patina, a darkening which is desirable and an indication of its age. Old Hickory knives are durable and affordable, but do require special care.

$320.00Whether it’s for survival, the great outdoors, or summer projects, the military inspired 0006 is the answer. Though it pays homage to the original ZT-9 with a steel guard, this full-tang beast is not a bayonet. Instead, this versatile ZT fits snugly in a durable Kydex sheath for travel. Named after its 6-inch blade, the 0006 uses CPM 3V, a tough tool steel that resists edge chipping during the hardest work tasks. While this non-stainless steel wasn’t designed for corrosion resistance, ZT added a clear Cerakote coating for greater durability. It’s a thick blade at 3/16 inches, but still plenty functional. The rounded profile fills the hand without being too big, and an olive G10 handle offers comfortable grip. Choke up on the aggressive jimping with or without gloves for greater control. When ZT makes a fixed blade, there’s nothing else like it. The 0006 is no exception.
