The Cold Steel SRK (Survival Rescue Knife) has been a proud flagship blade in the Cold Steel line-up for over 25 years. Crafted from 5mm thick American CPM-S35VN premium powdered steel, its a heavy duty work horse, designed for the harshest and most unforgiving environments. A good blade needs a good handle, so the SR1s handle is made from premium American Olive Drab G-10. With an integrated lanyard hole and coarse-textured surface for a secure grip even in cold, wet conditions, and expertly contoured to allow for a comfortable and safe grip even while wearing heavy gloves. Cold Steel 36MK Drop Forged Bowie with sheath. This addition to Cold Steel's Drop Forged line of knives has total length of 14 inches and features a 9 ½ inch blade, it shares many of the same attributes of the other knives in the series, including the same robust construction, being forged as a single piece of steel, giving it a startling amount of strength. This Master Tanto features San Mai® laminated steel, and a six inch blade with a re-styled guard for increased finger protection. There isnt a person working in the knife industry today that knows more about the Tanto than Cold Steel does. It was, after all, Cold Steel who invented and popularized this knife style in the early 1980s. They have spent millions of dollars persuading the public, both through advertising and live or videotaped demonstrations, of the Tantos many advantages. Please note that the Old Hickory knives are made with carbon steel.  We have been making Old Hickory since the early 1900's.  Carbon steel knives require extra care to prevent rusting and oxidation of the surface.  Old Hickory should not be placed in a dishwasher or allowed to soak in a sink.  We recommend cleaning the blade with a damp sponge or cloth and dry thoroughly.  Some people go a step further and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to the blades surface. If your blade shows signs of rust, use some steel wool to remove it and then apply some oil to the blade.   To keep the blade razor sharp, use a honing steel, sometimes referred to as sharpening steel, or sharpening stick. After years of use, the steel blade will develop a patina, a darkening which is desirable and an indication of its age.  Old Hickory knives are durable and affordable, but do require special care.

The Old Hickory® now come in a beautiful block set. The block is composed of hardwood.
